Sisterhood
Many Sisterhood meetings are on Zoom. Once a month we gather at Bossi's Bakery, in downtown Monroe for the Sisterhood Schmooze.
Our programs have included a virtual scavenger hunt to search for Judaica items within our homes, a “Name That Tune” contest, an opportunity to “Swap Your Stuff”, and a “Show and Tell” experience. More recently we enjoyed Rosh Chodesh, Tu B’shevat programs, and a Purim party with a Hamantashen baking demonstration by Judy Berman. A Pool Party and Rosh Chodesh program at Rochelle Marshall's home is planned in July.
Congregation Eitz Chaim Sisterhood has always been a vital part of our Jewish Community and beyond...
Our Sisterhood offers women numerous opportunities for fun and fulfillment as we strive to increase our Jewish knowledge and social network with other Jewish women. All are warmly accepted as members. Membership dues and fund-raising efforts have historically made it possible for us to sponsor many synagogue wide events during the year including...
- Saturday morning Kiddush
- Sisterhood Shabbat
- New Year’s Cards and Birthday Greeting Cards
- Yom Kippur Breakfast
- Meals of Condolence
- Purim Bags
- Book Club
- Rosh Chodesh Programs
- Women with Wool
- Dinners with the Rabbi
- Movie Night
- Trips to New York City
We look forward to meeting new members and seeing everyone in person very soon. Please join today and strengthen your own Jewish identity by supporting the synagogue and surrounding community and have fun and camaraderie all at the same time. Membership to our synagogue is not required.
