UPCOMING EVENTS:
- BINGO is COMING: The first night is scheduled for October 18th. We still need volunteers to work at Bingo. A sign-up sheet is on the office door. We also need one volunteer to plaster Monroe (and surrounding areas) with Bingo flyers. The flyer is already created.
The Bingo committee also needs donations of metal cash boxes, money belts, aprons, and fanny packs in good condition. Please bring to the office.
- Our Fathers Kitchen - So much of Yom Kippur is focused internally as we pause and consider our actions during the past year. Yet while introspection is extremely important and vital towards personal growth it is also important for us to continue to be aware of the greater world that surrounds us. As such, as a means of making the fast of Yom Kippur meaningful on both an internal and external level, I invite you to donate the amount of money you would have spent on food during the fast to Our Father's Kitchen, the local soup kitchen for Monroe. For the past year our shul has partnered with Our Father's Kitchen and we look forward towards increased partnership in the future. To donate you can either send a check directly to the Soup Kitchen, or make a donation towards the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund earmarked for Our Father's Soup Kitchen. Thank you for your generosity. Shana tova.
We are looking to hold a Conversational Hebrew Class - likely on Tuesday evenings, after HS. If you have any potential interest, please contact Jennie Ossentjuk. Potentially for children ages 12 and up, and adults. Cost and length of sessions TBA, but likely 8 - 10 week sessions starting in October / November.
